3-A SSI Acts on China 3-A Symbol Infringements
A rising number of 3-A Symbol infringements by companies in China led 3-A SSI to issue an alert last June to call attention to the misuse of its trademarked 3-A Symbol. 3-A SSI followed up with another alert in November to announce the original list of verified infringers had more than doubled from seven in June to 15.
3-A SSI has maintained a large number of licenses in China for many years and the number of infringers appears limited to several companies in the Wenzhou region of China. Regardless, the unauthorized use and display of the 3-A Symbol threatens to weaken the integrity of the 3-A Symbol and the trust invested in this program by regulatory professional, processors, and fabricator.
